My Parkvale School Report

Parkvale School Report. By Adam Neilson

What school is that on the horizon?

If you’re walking down Howard Street, you may come across a school called Parkvale. Parkvale School is a very beautiful school with a great environment for kids between 5 and 11.

Ways Of Learning:

At Parkvale, we have two ways of learning, Original (Pen/Pencil and Paper) and Digital (Devices). In the first part of the school (Rm 1-16+17) is the original type of learning style. And in the 2nd part of the school, (Rm 10-21b) is the digital side of Parkvale. Both of these learning types are very similar, except that the seniors are allowed to bring their own devices.

Students:

The students here at Parkvale School are amazing. They are creative, joyful and very happy! The school is split up into 7 year groups. Year 0-6. Students are also split into ages. 5-11. All classes are split into hubs. Also, a new MLE (Modern Learning Environment) hub has been formed with 3 classes in it.

Opportunities:

Students here at Parkvale have many opportunities to do and experience. The list is endless! You got sports like, Rugby, Barefoot 10/7’s, Netball, Miniball, Hockey, Cricket and much more! Some classes sometimes go on trips! These trips include, Camp Omatua and Kaitawa, EnviroSchools and the Rubbish Center. Seniors also get to do tasks such as Opti Sailing, Safe Cycling, Fun Run, Swimming and much more! Seniors also have a chance to have leadership opportunities such as Young Leader, Digi Leader, Sports Pals and a few more.

Parkvale School is a great place for your child to come too.
